For the second time in about six weeks, flash flooding along Wear's Creek has closed Jefferson City's Ice Arena.
Phil Stiles of the Parks, Recreation and Forestry department said clean-up was beginning today and would continue through the week.
He said it likely will take a week or two to get ice back on the arena floor.
Closing the Ice Arena forced cancellation of this weekend's "Ice Theatre," scheduled for 1 and 4 p.m. both today and Sunday.

Torrential downpours overnight prompted the National Weather Service to issue various flash flood advisories that expired in the early morning hours of Saturday for much of Mid-Missouri.
Cole, Callaway, Osage, Moniteau, Morgan, Gasconade and Camden counties were under flash flood warnings as heavy rain passed through the area. The warnings were set to expire at 7:30 a.m.
Emergency personnel in the Jefferson City area were called to flooded areas where motorists needed assistance due to rapidly rising water on roadways. One of those water rescues took place in the area of Missouri 179 and Route Z in Cole County.
Other low-lying city streets and area roads were reported to have gone under water, including Stadium Boulevard in the area of the roundabouts near Hyde Park Road, and along Wears Creek near Washington Park.
Some areas reported trees and power lines down, and roadways washed out.
As the periods of heavy rain subsided, water levels dropped in some areas but the potential for further runoff and additional rain continued to pose uncertainty until the rainstorms moved completely out of the area. Police reminded motorists not to drive into flood waters and to stay out of low-lying zones that are prone to flooding.
Flood Warning along Moreau River
The National Weather Service in St. Louis has issued a Flood Warning for the Moreau River near Jefferson City until Monday afternoon.
* At 4:30 AM Saturday the stage was 15.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by this morning and crest near 24.8 feet by after midnight tonight. The river will fall below flood stage by tomorrow early afternoon.
* Impact: At 23.5 feet...Near this height, Walnut Acres Road near North Moreau Creek will likely need to be closed. This road is 18.3 river miles upstream of the gage.
* Impact: At 20.0 feet...Near this height, Buffalo Road will be closed. This road is about 8.7 river miles upstream of the gage.
* Impact: At 19.0 feet...Near this height, Zion Road will be closed. This road is about 12 river miles upstream of the gage.
* Impact: At 18.0 feet...Near this height, both Bainer Road and Loesch Road will be closed. These roads are about 15.5 to 16 river miles upstream of the gage.
Flood Warning along Maries River
The National Weather Service in St. Louis has issued a Flood Warning for the Maries River near Westphalia until Sunday afternoon.
* At 3:31 AM Saturday the stage was 10.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Impact: At 12.1 feet...The north end of County Road 521 begins flooding adjacent to the river near this height.
