A Florissant man was injured Friday after he was hit by the rear of his own vehicle.
Missouri Highway Patrol reports show Jack Noel, 55, was traveling northbound on U.S. 63 in Boone County at 7:58 p.m. and pulled onto the shoulder of Friendship Church Road, but failed to put the car in park.
Noel got out of the vehicle and was struck by the car. The vehicle continued rolled down an embankment and struck a rock and a tree.
He was taken to University Hospital in Columbia with minor injuries.
