Detective: Murder case remains 'fluid'

An investigation into the homicide of Thomas Noel Craig, of Fulton, continues to develop, said Det. Buck Edwards of the Johnson County Sheriff's office.

"We are still very fluid with this," Edwards said Friday. "We're just neck-deep in it."

In early June, Raymond Blake Brockway, a Sedalia man arrested on unrelated charges, was named a person of interest in this investigation.

"He is still a person of interest," Edwards said. "I can't say much more."

Craig, 48, was found dead on a Johnson County road early June 1. He died of gunshot wounds, police said after an autopsy was performed.

The Missouri Rural Major Case Squad investigated more than 140 leads related to the homicide. Leads in the case are now managed by the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.
