2 arrested on drug charges

KINGDOM CITY, Mo. — A fugitive from Miller County was arrested on drug charges with another suspect by Callaway County Sheriff’s deputies last week.

Amber Higgins, 36, of Columbia, was wanted on a $50,000 warrant from Miller County for intent to distribute controlled substances, according to a press release issued Tuesday by Callaway County Sheriff’s Sgt. Curtis Hall.

Also arrested was Andrea Robertson, 30, of Hermann, in a vehicle with Higgins reported as suspicious at 10:20 a.m. April 21 at the Taco Bell in Kingdom City.

According to Hall, deputies found methamphetamine, heroin, and marijuana in the vehicle. Robertson and Higgins were each charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, Hall reported. They were taken to the Callaway County Jail.

Robertson posted $9,500 bond and was released, according to Hall. Higgins remains in custody on charges from both Callaway and Miller counties.
