Steedman man arrested for stealing

A Steedman man was arrested on a Callaway County warrant Thursday on Pawnee Drive in eastern Callaway County.

A search warrant had been issued in regards to an ongoing stealing investigation in conjunction with the Eureka Police Department. During the search warrant execution, two stolen iPhones, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were recovered. The iPhones belonged to residents of the St. Louis area who had reported their phones stolen while at Six Flags in Eureka. The phones were tracked to using GPS technology.

Michael Crotchett, 30, was arrested and taken to the Callaway County Jail. He was charged with felony receiving stolen property, possession up to 35 grams of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Crotchett was processed at the Callaway County Jail and issued a criminal court date.

The investigation is ongoing.
