The Missouri primary elections will take place Tuesday.
There are several races up for grabs this election. To find your polling place, go to the Callaway County Clerk's office at callawaycountyclerk.com.
Callaway County has 26 polling places, which will be open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Officials at the county clerk's office said early they expect a 40-percent voter turnout for Tuesday's elections. A total of 10,677 people came out to vote at the March 15 Open Primary. In that election, 7,549 people voted Republican, 3,096 voted Democrat, 26 voted Libertarian and six voted for the Constitution Party.
During the previous August primary in 2014, 7,267 people voted in Callaway County.

If voters show up to the wrong polling place, they can be directed to the correct one more easily this year after the county invested into more poll pads. Poll pads are iPads with a program installed on them made specifically to help people during elections. The county will have 50 poll pads ready for the November election and expect to have them ready for Tuesday.
All elections will be updated on the County Clerk's website starting at 7:15 p.m.
Western district county commissioner
Roger Fischer
Fischer has been married for 32 years, with two sons and three grandchildren. He has more than 30 years of business experience and 20 years experience as a mining/minerals consultant.
Fischer has helped more than 300 inventors, entrepreneurs and corporations as project manager and consultant during his eight years at the Missouri Economic Development of High Tech Innovation.
He was a pipe fitter while Callaway Nuclear Plant was built and is a member of the Callaway County and Missouri State Cattleman's Association. He is an active member of the Central Christian Church and also attends St. Peter's Church. Fischer said he supports the Second Amendment.
Rick Shiverdecker
Shiverdecker is a lifelong resident of Callaway County, a graduate of South Callaway High School and attended Lincoln University. He's been married for 20 years, has one daughter and two stepsons.
Shiverdecker is an Army veteran and worked for the State of Missouri, Department of Corrections and Fulton State Hospital for 22 years. He also owns Sears Hometown Store of Fulton.
He's in his third term as Fulton's Fourth Ward City Councilman and also serves as a council liaison for the Parks and Rec Board.
As a city councilman, he was involved with several projects, including the animal shelter, Memorial Park, Splash Pad, Warehouse for city employees, funding to fix storm water problems, building a new community center and an outdoor Aquatic Center.
Philip Todd
Todd is 61 and has lived in Holts Summit more than 12 years with his wife Donna. They have five sons, two of whom are Gulf War veterans, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He grew up on his father and grandfather's farm in northern Missouri. He owns Tri-Counties Masonry LLC of Holts Summit and was involved in the growth of Callaway County since the late 1990s. He said he also has considerable legislative experience and bridge, highway and railroad experience. He thinks his business background will make him successful as county commissioner.

Deborah Daniels
Daniels grew up in Fayette and graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law. She worked as a law clerk at the Missouri Supreme Court and eventually became its director of research in 1979. Daniels was an adjunct professor of law at the University of Missouri for several years. She served on the Missouri Supreme Court's Committee on Procedure in Criminal Cases for 35 years. She was hired by Jay Nixon when he was attorney general, as the chief counsel of the criminal division in the attorney general's office.
Jeff Harris
Harris became the current circuit judge of the 13th Judicial Court after he was appointed by Gov. Jay Nixon on April 25. He was born and raised in Columbia and graduated from Cornell Law School. Harris worked as an assistant to the attorney general under Nixon. He represented Boone County in the Missouri Legislature from 2003-09 and became the Democratic Floor Leader during his second term. He was also a private sector attorney at Atwill and Montgomery in Columbia and Bryan Cave LLP in Kansas City, where he handled litigation in state and federal courts.

Callaway County Ambulance District Question 1: Shall the Callaway County Ambulance District continue applying and collecting the local sales tax on the titling of motor vehicles, trailers, boats and outboard motors that were purchased from a source other than a licensed Missouri dealer? Disapproval of this measure will result in a reduction of local revenue to provide for vital services for Callaway County Ambulance District and it will place Missouri dealers of motor vehicles, outboard motors, boats, and trailers at a competitive disadvantage to non-Missouri dealers of motor vehicles, outboard motors, boats, and trailers.

If this proposition is approved, the adjusted operating levy of the School District is estimated to be $3.9947 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation.
