A man from the state of California was hurt after a one-vehicle accident early Friday morning in Callaway County.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports Michael S. Helmick, 63, of Blythe, was on Missouri 94, a half-mile east of Big Tavern Creek Road, around 12:30 a.m.
He went off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and several trees, and finally overturned.
Helmick was not wearing a seat belt and was treated for serious injuries.
