Mid-Missouri residents hurt in wrecks

Two Camdenton residents were injured after a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Camden County.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the accident occurred at 12:45 p.m. on Bear Paw Road at Bear Paw Cut Thru.

Nancy Becker, 78, made a left turn and crossed the center line of the road, entering the path of Stacy Stude, 39.

The two struck head-on, causing Becker to go off the road and down an embankment about 100 feet, striking multiple trees.

Becker was treated for serious injuries, and Stude had minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

In another wreck, a California woman was hurt following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Cole County.

Patrol reports show the accident occurred on U.S. 50, just west of Route U, at 4:14 p.m.

A vehicle driven by Brooke McGuire, 31, of California, slowed for a non-injury crash ahead of her and was struck in the rear by Edwin Marcum, 46, of Holts Summit.

McGuire was treated for minor injuries. Marcum had no reported injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
