After a large, multi-county investigation of a rash of residential burglaries and thefts in Callaway, Cole, Moniteau, Miller and Cooper counties, law officials said charges and arrests are rolling in.

On Monday, members of the Callaway County Sheriff's Office arrested a Jefferson City man for second-degree burglary and felony stealing, according to a news release from sheriff's Lt. Clay Chism.

Tyler Schnieders, 21, was taken into custody in Jefferson City and held at the Callaway County Jail until his release on bail pending court appearance.

On Tuesday, Callaway County's prosecuting attorney brought charges against another Jefferson City man who is a suspect in the same case.

Caden Wilkerson, 23, was charged with second-degree burglary and felony stealing. He is currently being held on charges in Cole County. He will be extradited to Callaway County at a later date.

The investigation is still on-going, both in Callaway County and in the other counties mentioned, Chism said. The offenses related to these arrests took place around Holts Summit and Tebbetts.

Cole County law enforcement has recovered multiple stolen items, including laptops, televisions, cameras, jewelry, firearms and more, according to a post on the Cole County Sheriff's Department Facebook page.

More arrests may be forthcoming, Chism said.
