WWU to confer 836 degrees

American landscape artist William Cather Hook will be the Saturday morning commencement speaker at William Woods University.

From Santa Fe, New Mexico, Hook will address graduates and their families at 10 a.m. at a ceremony at Cutlip Auditorium.

At a second ceremony, at 2 p.m. in the same location, Marty Martin-Forman, recently retired chief operating officer at Fulton State Hospital and past president of the Fulton Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center, will speak to graduate students.

On Saturday, 836 degrees will be conferred, including 590 graduate degrees. The college’s traditional Ivy Ceremony will be at 9:15 a.m. at Senior Lake.
