OLATHE, Kan. — The Lady Owls defeated the Stars in the first round of the NAIA Association of Independent Institutions Tournament Friday.
The tournament consists of members of the American Midwest Conference and the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
Singles winners for William Woods (15-2) included freshmen Julia Mulder and Alba Salinas. Doubles winners for the Lady Owls included the pairings of Salinas and freshman Felicia Cesar, Mulder and freshman Chelsea Steward, and freshmen Paige Smith and Karyna Sagalai.
