MONTGOMERY CITY - Junior Tayler Vaughn shot a 49 as the North Callaway Thunderbirds golf team took fourth place in Tuesday's season opener at Montgomery County Golf Club.
Sophomore Ryan Weber followed with a 52 for North Callaway, which posted a 215 team total. Host Montgomery County took first place with a 178, Elsberry was second with a 183 and Mexico came in third with a 187.
Junior Donnie Baysinger added a 56 for the Thunderbirds and sophomore Tyler Sommer carded a 58.
North Callaway hosts a quadrangular at Tanglewood Golf Course at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 29.
