An inmate at the Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center was pronounced dead March 3.
The 25-year-old inmate, Cody Deans, was serving a four-year sentence for second-degree burglary and second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer from Barry County, according to a release.
The Missouri Department of Corrections does not suspect foul play was involved.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
