MONTGOMERY CITY - Sophomore forward Sam Althiser logged a game-high 14 points to spark the No. 4 seed North Callaway Thunderbirds in their 46-37 title win over the No. 3 South Callaway Bulldogs at the Montgomery County Tournament on Saturday.
Freshman guard Khobi Kellerman added 10 points for North Callaway (9-4).
Junior forward Braeden Sconce directed South Callaway (4-8) with 13 points and guard Dylan Pafchang chipped in with 10.
The Thunderbirds will play a makeup game against Missouri Military Academy at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Mexico. The varsity contest will be played first.
The Bulldogs play a varsity-JV doubleheader at Show-Me Conference foe Russellville at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
