Jefferson City pursuit results in arrest for multiple felonies

Suspect taken into custody after circuitous chase ends in Holts Summit

Shortly before midnight on Wednesday, a Jefferson City police officer on routine patrol in the 200 block of Jefferson Street attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by a subject who was known to have felony warrants out for his arrest.

Once the suspect stopped the vehicle, he fled the scene on foot. The officer gave pursuit and apprehended the suspect shortly after the foot pursuit began.

The suspect is Zachary Phillips, a 25 year-old Holts Summit male, and he was arrested on the following charges:

  • Felony Warrant for Probation Violation on Property Destruction
  • Felony Warrant for Dangerous Drug
  • Felony Resisting Arrest by Fleeing
  • Possession of Controlled Substance
