ST. LOUIS - Junior guard Marcus Smith connected for a game-high 20 points Tuesday night to help spur the Missouri School for the Deaf Eagles to their third win in a row, 50-30 over Yeshivat Kadimah.
MSD (3-5) owned a 25-19 lead at halftime and Smith delivered 10 points in the third quarter as the Eagles pushed their advantage to 39-26.
"Marcus drove to the basket quite a bit and took a lot of outside shots," MSD head coach Dick Keller said. "He made some easy jumpers - he was draining everything."
Senior guard Joseph Allen added 13 points for the Eagles and junior guard Ste'Quan Scott grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds.
"The kids are really starting to click on offense," Keller said. "They've been very patient with the ball and finding the open shot, both inside and outside.
"They've calmed down on offense and stopped rushing."
Chris Missler paced Yeshivat with 16 points.
MSD plays a pair of games Saturday at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf. The Eagles open against the Arkansas School for the Deaf at 11 a.m., then face host Oklahoma at 7 p.m.
