The host Missouri School for the Deaf Lady Eagles extended a two-point halftime lead by outscoring the Iowa School for the Deaf Lady Bobcats 11-6 in the third quarter to log their first win of the season 32-24 Friday night.

"We've been working really hard, so having a victory is definitely a morale booster," Lady Eagles head coach Sydnee Kuster said. "The first half was really close ... but we came out in the second half and continued to play our game, and to play it hard.

"Our ladies played aggressively and made the Lady Bobcats work for every point they put on the board."

Alondra Regalado and Annie White led ISD with 10 points apiece.
