Hornet wrestlers hammer Hannibal in NCMC blitz

The Fulton Hornets wrestling team stayed perfect in the North Central Missouri Conference behind plenty of pins.

Fulton prevailed by pin in eight weight classes as the Hornets easily handled Hannibal in a 66-17 NCMC romp Thursday night at Roger D. Davis Gymnasium.

Posting victories by pin for Fulton (12-1, 2-0 NCMC) were seniors Josh McClure (145 pounds), Zach Benner (220), Trenton Clines (152), Clayton Bristol (285), Andy Baysinger (160) and Kobe Kaminski (195), junior Luke Berrey (170) and sophomore Jacob Kern (132).

"We had a quick talk about how Hannibal's kids are usually pretty physical," Hornets head coach Eric Hudson said. "I was happy to see that our kids went out and took care of business.

"They were focused and back at it."
