Missouri women beat Alabama 63-52

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri women's basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak Thursday with a 63-52 defeat of Alabama.

Sierra Michaelis led five Tigers in double figures with 14 points. Sophie Cunningham scored 12, Cierra Porter scored 11, Kayla McDowell had 11 and Jordan Frericks had 10.

Missouri trailed 44-43 early in the fourth quarter before going on a 10-1 run. Alabama wouldn't get closer than four the remainder of the game.

Missouri led the Crimson Tide in rebounds (36-31), assists (16-8) and takeaways (16-12).

The Tigers (19-6, 6-6 SEC) had previously fallen to Georgia and No. 11 Mississippi State to drop out of the AP rankings. Missouri hosts Arkansas at 2 p.m. Sunday.
