Fulton man arrested in chase

A Fulton man was arrested Wednesday after being pursued by multiple agencies in a vehicular chase.

Douglass Bowen, 47, was charged with felony resisting arrest, speeding, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and carelessly operating a motor vehicle.

According to a release from the Callaway County Sheriff's Office, deputies of the assisted officers of the Fulton Police Department in a pursuit along various state and county roads through Kingdom City, Fulton and Millersburg at approximately 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

FPD lost sight of the vehicle on County Road 110, but a sheriff's deputy saw the Mercury Mountaineer fail to stop at a posted stop sign and then continue driving despite the deputy signaling the driver to pull over.

The pursuit was terminated on State Road J in Millersburg.

At approximately 6:09 p.m. the same day, FPD located and arrested Bowen at a Fulton residence.

He was taken to the Callaway County Jail and has since posted a $7,700 bond.
