MEXICO - Senior guard Derek Shikles and senior forward Leo Ramirez responded with 14 points apiece in the state-ranked New Bloomfield Wildcats' 78-30 runaway victory over the Missouri Military Academy Colonels on Tuesday night.
Senior guard Tyler Fennewald also tallied 13 points for New Bloomfield (17-3), ranked No. 8 in Class 2 by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association. The Wildcats were easily in control by halftime, building a commanding 47-11 lead.
"We've really worked on our transition break in practice and we put it on full display tonight," New Bloomfield head coach Tim Gilmore said.
The Wildcats go to Eugene for a Show-Me Conference clash at 6 p.m. Friday. New Bloomfield is 4-1 in the SMC.
