Fulton boys finish sixth at NCMC golf championships

The Fulton Hornets took sixth place at the North Central Missouri Conference championships after shooting a 408 team score at Tanglewood Golf Course Thursday.

Hannibal won with a 324 team total. Kirksville shot a 349 to take second, Marshall had a 354 for third and Mexico shot a 383 for fourth. Moberly came in fifth after shooting a 407 and Boonville was seventh with a 421.

“We definitely left some strokes on the course,” Fulton head coach Pat Kelley said. “Overall, I was pleased with the way we played through some adversity. We will need to be a little more sharp on Monday at districts.”

Hannibal’s Trevor Watson shot a 76 to win the individual. Junior Isaac Franklin tied Mexico’s Kaleb Allison and Hannibal’s Connor Bogue with a 92. Allison was named 14th, Franklin took 15th and Bogue was 16th after a scorecard playoff.

Fulton plays a against Liberty, Hannibal and Centralia at 4 p.m. today in Wentzville.
