Boys Tennis: Liberty (Wentzville) 6, Fulton 3

The Fulton Hornets dropped to 2-4 on the season after Wednesday night’s non-conference home loss to the Liberty (Wentzville) Eagles.

“We lost some sizeable leads in a couple of matches,” Fulton head coach Rob Fisher said Thursday night. “That’s kind of tough to swallow, but it’s a good learning lesson.”

•No. 1 singles: Daniel Holem (L) defeated sophomore Haydon Windsor (F), 10-4; No. 2: Evan Sacks (L) def. senior Gage Oestreich (F), 10-7; No. 3: junior Justin Adams (F) def. Brenden Young (L), 10-1; No. 4: junior Grant Hendricks (F) def. Ben Collins (L), 10-1; No. 5: Dominic Reyes (L) def. sophomore Devin Ferro (F), 10-8; No. 6: Joshua Roberts (L) def. junior James Hill (F), 10-5.

The Hornets play in the Marshall Invitational starting at 9 this morning.
