ASHLAND, Mo. — The North Callaway Thunderbirds took third place in the Southern Boone Tournament by overpowering the Hallsville Indians on Saturday.
Freshman first baseman Jordan Delashmutt went 3-for-4 with a double, a run batted in and two runs scored as North Callaway (3-2-3) collected 14 hits. Sophomore starter Ben Bradley picked up the win for the Thunderbirds.
North Callaway played for third after falling to host Southern Boone 12-3 in its tournament opener Saturday morning.
Freshman catcher Justin Coffman was 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Thunderbirds and sophomore starter Chad Maupin took the loss.
