An Easter egg hunt on W.T. Patterson’s property (now owned by Dennis Turner) taken in the early 1950s shows the water tower, visible in the background, which was privately owned by Patterson to supply water to his home and businesses downtown. The road where the children are standing is now an alley running parallel with North Curtis Avenue. The Callaway County Health Department and the County Commission held its sixth Annual County Employee Health Fair on Friday. The fair was for all county employees and their family members.

"The free flu shots are probably the most used option avail- able today," said Sharon Lynch of the Callaway County Health Department. "But we have lots

of vendors promoting education and products for a healthy lifestyle. Plus we serve lunch!"

There are approximately 160 to 170 county employees, and Lynch estimates that close to 50 percent of employees and their families take part in the event.

"A lot of people don't know what a Health Fair is," said Lynch. "They just think it is about getting a physical. But we want it to be an event that's fun. We want it to be a place for people to get together."
