Coe sends Lady Blue Jays soccer team to third straight loss

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Westminster College Lady Blue Jays soccer team suffered its third straight loss when it was shut out by the Coe College Kohawks 3-0 on Sunday.

Miranda Anderson tallied goals in the 8th and 72nd minutes for Coe College (8-0-1), while Sarah Fathallah added the final goal in the 83rd minute.

Westminster slipped to 2-4-1 on the season despite outshooting the Kohawks 14-11. Coe finished with a 7-5 advantage in shots on goal and 4-1 in corner kicks.

Junior goalkeeper Ellen Woolsey came up with four saves for the Lady Blue Jays.

Westminster begins St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play against Fontbonne University at 7 p.m. Saturday at Fulton High School.
