MOKANE - South Callaway sophomore Adrian Mann and the Lady Bulldogs cross country team were in charge.
Mann secured the individual title with a winning time of 22 minutes, 35.30 seconds and the Lady Bulldogs captured the team championship in the first-ever South Callaway Invitational on Saturday.
Mann was one of five medalists - all finishing in the top 10 - for the Lady Bulldogs. Sophomore Elizabeth Luebbert came in fourth in 24:45.80, senior Amanda McDonald was fifth in 25:01.60, sophomore Kallie Guthrie took sixth in 25:12.00, and sophomore Greta Cross finished eighth in 27:06.80.
Medalling for South Callaway in the varsity boys' division were freshman Daniel McDonald, eighth in 19:26.30, and sophomore Austin Clubb - 13th in 20:28.70. Also placing for the Bulldogs were sophomore Nick Rodriguez (18th, 22:02.40), freshman Peyton Stinson (20th, 23:40.20), and freshman Nate Sharp (23rd, 26:41.90).
"Our girls' team gave another solid showing at our home invitational," South Callaway head coach Stephanie Turner said. "The young runners are beginning to find their pace and showing more confidence and better times each week."
South Callaway runs in the Belle Invitational at 4 p.m. Thursday.
