Fulton sophomore first baseman Samantha Weber had two hits and drove in four runs Thursday night as the Lady Hornets halted a seven-game losing streak with an 11-4 NCMC win over Marshall at the high school athletic complex.
Fulton (2-9, 2-5 North Central Missouri Conference) produced a four-run outburst in the bottom of the first inning to erase a 2-0 deficit, plated two in the second, three in the third and two in the fourth. Marshall added single runs in the sixth and seventh.
Weber finished 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored as the Lady Hornets erupted for 12 hits. Freshman right fielder Meadow Lungstrum was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, two RBI and scored twice, while sophomore second baseman Emma Abbott went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored.
Sophomore starter Kendalyn Roesner finished 2-for-3 with an RBI. Roesner threw a five-hitter in going the distance for the victory, giving up four earned runs, striking out six and walking five.
Fulton squares off against Russellville at 6:45 tonight at the AA Bash Tournament in Eugene.
