Boonville blisters Lady Hornets softball team

BOONVILLE - The Fulton Lady Hornets softball team came up with just one hit in Monday night's 10-0 North Central Missouri Conference loss to the Boonville Lady Pirates in five innings.

Freshman right fielder Meadow Lungstrum was 1-for-2 for Fulton (1-8, 1-5 NCMC). Boonville tallied two runs in the bottom of the first, one in the second, three in the fourth and closed out the victory with four in the fifth.

Sophomore starter Kendalyn Roesner suffered the loss, allowing three runs on one hit and had three strikeouts in just two innings.

The Lady Hornets return home to play (Columbia) Battle in a non-conference contest at 5 p.m. today.
