A trio of Westminster College athletes were among the honorees for the first St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference players of the week announced Monday.
Senior Brier Skogsberg was named in women's cross country and sophomore Morgan Henry in women's soccer for the Lady Blue Jays, while senior Drake Trease was selected in men's soccer.
Skogsberg took first place in the Principa (Ill.) College Panther Open on Sept. 4, winning with a time of 16 minutes, 15 seconds.
Henry scored a team-high three goals in three games as the Westminster women started the season 2-1. Trease, meanwhile, tallied two goals and two assists over a three-game span, helping the Westminster men get off to a 2-1 start.
