Moberly shuts out Lady Hornets softball team

The Fulton Lady Hornets softball team was limited to only three hits in Tuesday night's 4-0 North Central Missouri Conference loss to the Moberly Lady Spartans at the high school athletic complex.

Moberly tallied single runs in the first and fifth innings, then scored twice in the seventh.

Freshman shortstop Hayden Trowbridge was 1-for-3 with a double for Fulton (1-6, 1-4 NCMC), while junior left fielder Kenzie Archer and sophomore second baseman Emma Abbott were both 1-for-3 with singles.

Sophomore starter Kendalyn Roesner threw a complete game in suffering the loss for the Lady Hornets. Roesner gave up four earned runs on seven hits, issued six walks and struck out four.

The junior varsity game was rained out.

Fulton plays at NCMC rival Mexico at 5 p.m. Thursday.
