Allen leads Eagles football team to fifth straight victory

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - Senior Joseph Allen accounted for 230 total yards and five touchdowns to steer the Missouri School for the Deaf Eagles football team to its fifth straight victory in last Saturday's 54-0 dismantling of the Iowa School for the Deaf Bobcats.

Allen had two catches for 124 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 106 yards and three scores as MSD raised its season record to 5-1. Allen was also a defensive standout with 22 tackles and two fumble recoveries.

Sophomore Ste'Quan Scott passed for 244 yards and four touchdowns for the Eagles, while junior Scotty Percy finished with five catches for 142 yards and two scores. Percy also posted 16 tackles and recovered a fumble.

Senior Terrell Owens and sophomore Marcus Smith helped guide MSD's defensive efforts with nine and eight tackles, respectively.

The Eagles close out their season at home against Illinois School for the Deaf at 11 a.m. today.
