Two Fulton residents were arrested Tuesday afternoon on drug charges following traffic stop.
A Fulton police officer stopped the driver, Reginald L. Wainwright, 27, and passenger Ryan Wainwright, 29, for a moving violation on Hillcrest Street and west Eighth Street at about 3:30 p.m. The officer saw the passenger in possession of marijuana at the time of the traffic stop. The officer conducted a background check on Ryan Wainwright and saw that he had a felony probation warrant for dangerous drugs.
Consequently, the officer searched the vehicle and discovered an additional bag of marijuana.
Reginald L. Wainwright was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. His bond is set at $10,000.
Both men are being held at the Callaway County Jail.
