JOPLIN - New Bloomfield sophomore Alexandra Morningstar shot a 109 in Tuesday's final round to end up in a tie for 78th place at the Class 1 girls' state golf championships at Twin Hills Country Club.
Morningstar - a first-time state qualifier - had a 111 in Monday's opening round and finished with a two-day 220 total, sharing 78th with Salisbury's Lydia Henke (112-108).
Pembroke Hill's India Gaume captured the individual state title with a 150 (72-78), while MICDS secured the Class 2 team state championship with a 669 (338-331).
