MOBERLY - The No. 6 seed Fulton Lady Hornets softball team ended its season with a 6-19 record after Wednesday night's 4-2 first-round loss to the No. 3 Mexico Lady Bulldogs at the Class 3, District 8 Tournament.
Freshman Makenzie Johnson finished 2-for-3 with a double and a run batted in as Fulton managed only five hits. Freshman Grace Sparks was also 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored, while sophomore starter Kendalyn Roesner and freshman Mattie Arnold were both 1-for-3.
Roesner went the distance in taking the loss, giving up four runs - three earned - on seven hits. She issued three walks and struck out one.
