Eagles football team breezes to fourth straight victory

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Sophomore Ste'Quan Scott passed for 246 yards and five touchdowns as the Missouri School for the Deaf Eagles football team easily vanquished the Tennessee School for the Deaf Vikings 48-2 for its fourth win in a row Saturday.

Joseph Allen rushed for 174 yards and a score, and also had 60 yards receiving and a pair of scores for MSD (4-1). Senior Terrell Owens turned both of his catches into 72 yards and two touchdowns, while sophomore Marcus Smith scored twice.

Junior Scotty Percy sparked the Eagles' defense with 10 tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery, while Allen finished with nine tackles and an interception. Smith logged seven tackles, senior Noe Garcia followed with six and Scott had five.

MSD has some time off before it plays at Iowa School for the Deaf on Saturday, Oct. 17.
