HERMANN - Following the Hermann Lady Bearcats' scoring tear in the second and third quarters, the North Callaway Ladybirds dropped their season opener 55-19 on Monday night.
Hermann outscored North Callaway 23-6 in the second quarter and 16-2 in the third. The Lady Bearcats were able to maintain a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
The Ladybirds were led by senior forward Maddie Ausfahl and freshman guard Kenzie Ausfahl with five points apiece.
Allison Stiers topped Hermann with a game-high 17 points and Brooke Grosse contributed 10.
North Callaway plays at Centralia at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1.
