South Callaway's Mann to run at state cross country championships

WESTPHALIA - Sophomore Adrian Mann advanced to the state championships for the South Callaway Lady Bulldogs cross country team by finishing fifth in 22 minutes, 8.92 seconds at the Class 2, District 4 meet Saturday.

Mann - who led South Callaway to a third-place team finish with 96 points - will compete in the Class 2 girls' state championships at 9:40 a.m. Saturday at Oak Hills Golf Center in Jefferson City.

Other place-finishers for the Lady Bulldogs at the District 4 championships included sophomore Elli Luebbert (17th, 23:54.09), senior Amanda McDonald (27th, 25:13.02), junior Kallie Guthrie (38th, 27:03.69), and sophomore Greta Cross (39th, 27:33.67).

In the boys' division, freshman Daniel McDonald took 32nd in 19:47.71 as South Callaway placed 11th as a team with 268 points. Also placing for the Bulldogs were sophomore Austin Clubb (44th, 20:56.82), sophomore Nick Rodriguez (57th, 22:16.49), freshman Gabe Williamson (69th, 23:35.16), and freshman Peyton Stinson (74th, 24:17.74).
