A 31-year-old man from Maine was arrested early Friday morning for possessing a large quantity of marijuana and paraphernalia, according to a press release from the Fulton Police Department.

At about 1:44 a.m., a Fulton police officer noticed the man, Nathan S. Dougherty, suspiciously parked in the Morningside Lake parking lot while on patrol. The officer made contact with Dougherty, who told the officer he was from Maine and on his way back from Colorado. The officer searched the vehicle and found more than 400 grams of marijuana, possibly suspected to be medical grade.

The vehicle search also yielded four canisters of edible marijuana, a digital scale, marijuana paraphernalia and more than $2,400 in cash.

Dougherty was arrested for possession with intent to distribute and possession of paraphernalia. His bond was set at $5,000.
