North Callaway senior Steven Coleman cruised on to sectional competition by winning the boys' 100 and 200 meters, and 110 and 300 hurdles in Saturday's Class 3, District 4 championships at Centralia High School.
Coleman triumphed in the 100 and 200 with respective times of 11.52 and 23.33 seconds. He prevailed in the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles in :15.35 and :41.74, respectively.
In the girls' division, North Callaway freshman Reyna Schmauch advanced to sectionals by taking second in the 3,200 (13:01.98) and fourth in the 1,600 (5:54.48).
The Sectional 2 championships are Saturday at Montgomery County High School.
The Thunderbirds placed seventh in District 4 with 49 points, while the Ladybirds were 10th with 26. Centralia (122.5 points) and Montgomery County (100.5) captured the boys' and girls' team titles, respectively.
