Fulton's Water Works, also known as the splash pad, opened on Friday, May 1, for the 2015 season and children and families were visible enjoying the attraction during opening weekend.
Operating hours for the splash pad are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, weather pending. The water attraction first opened on August 29, 2014. The 2015 season will be the site's first full season of operation.
The Fulton City Council approved the nearly $250,000 project in April 2014.
Here's a reminder of the Water Works rules and regulations:
•No lifeguard will be on duty. Use splash pad at own risk.
•Children 11 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
•Do not drink the splash pad water as it re-circulates.
•Street shoes are not allowed on the splash pad.
•No running, rough play or foul language.
•Infants must wear swim diapers. Changing diapers is not permitted on the splash pad.
•Persons with open cuts or sores, infection or diseases that may be transmitted by the water are prohibited.
•Animals are not allowed on or near the splash pad.
•Glass bottles are not allowed on or near the splash pad.
•No smoking on or near the splash pad.
•No food or drinks on the splash pad.
•Do not cover water fixtures or drains.
•No climbing on splash pad equipment, benches or tables.
•Skateboarding, bike riding and rollerblading is not allowed on the splash pad.
•Do not use the splash pad during severe weather conditions.
•Electrical appliances or cords are not allowed within 10 feet of the splash pad.
•Splash pad can be closed at any time for maintenance or other issues.
•Anyone violating the rules and regulations can be evicted from the park.
