Art House reception showcases Callaway Plein Air artwork

Art House hosted its "Wet Paint Reception," which marked the conclusion of this year's Callaway Plein Air event, on Sunday, May 31. During this year's Callaway Plein Air art event, hosted by Art House gallery in Fulton, 50 artists created more than 160 paintings depicting scenes in Callaway County. The Callaway Plein Air exhibit runs through the month of June at Art House, located at 531 Court St. in Fulton. Gallery hours are: Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; closed Sunday.

•Honorable Mention 3: Prairie View, Jean Howard

•Honorable Mention 4: Storm Near New Bloomfield, Terry Martin

•Special Award -Paint the Town: Activity on Court St., Marty Coulter

•Special Award-Quick Paint: Missouri River at Portland, Josh Crow

•Special Award-Sunset: Thunderstorms at Dusk-Portland Reach, Brian Mahieu

•Special Award-Figure in the Landscape: Waiting for the Sunset, Daniel Fishback

•Special Award-Nocturne: Rainy Night, Tatyana Robberts
