St. Peter Catholic School formed a living rosary Wednesday morning after mass in honor of National Catholic Schools Week. The school formed a giant circle in the church, with a few students sitting to form a cross. Each student held a piece of colored construction paper to represent their bead on the rosary. Then, each student read a prayer.

Principal Teresa Arms said students pray the rosary at school often, but the living rosary allows students to "actively participate in the prayers and to see the big picture." She added that they try to pray a living rosary at least once a school year.

The school will have an open house and chili supper from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29. For dinner, adults are $5, children 5-10 are $3 and children under age 5 are free.
