MSD boys control second half in win over Jamestown

JAMESTOWN - Missouri School for the Deaf broke a 16-all halftime deadlock by outscoring Jamestown's junior varsity 27-21 in the second half of Wednesday night's 43-37 triumph in a matchup between Eagles.

MSD (5-4) edged Jamestown 13-12 in the third quarter to go on top 29-28, then used a 14-9 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter to nail down the victory.

Senior forward Benson Goodwin sparked MSD with 18 points and seven rebounds. Junior guard Joseph Allen also provided 16 points, seven assists, four steals and four rebounds.

MSD travels to Olathe, Kansas, on Saturday for games against Iowa School for the Deaf (10 a.m.) and host Kansas School for the Deaf (7:30 p.m.).
