Wildcats roll to convincing win over MMA

MEXICO - Three players scored in double figures and the New Bloomfield Wildcats pulled away in the fourth quarter of Tuesday night's 62-44 victory over the Missouri Military Academy Colonels.

New Bloomfield (10-9) was up 18-15 after one quarter and carried a 31-24 advantage into the break. The Wildcats were in front 40-31 after three quarters and took command by outscoring MMA 22-13 over the final 8 minutes.

Junior guard Grant Nichols sparked New Bloomfield with a game-high 18 points. Junior guard Derek Shikles also supplied 14 points and freshman forward Jak Kitchens contributed 11.

Isaiah Adkins topped the Colonels with 16 points.

The Wildcats host Eugene in a Show-Me Conference matchup at 6 p.m. Friday.
