Chamois powers past Eagles

The Missouri School for the Deaf Eagles fell behind the Chamois Pirates 15-4 after one quarter in dropping their second straight home game in a 49-25 loss Tuesday night.

Missouri School for the Deaf (7-6) outscored Chamois 10-8 in the second quarter to make it 23-14 at halftime, but the Pirates took control by outscoring the Eagles 26-11 in the second half.

Senior guard Jeff Porter finished with eight points and four rebounds for MSD, which shot only 31 percent as a team. Junior guard Joseph Allen added six points.

Aaron Brandt paced Chamois with a game-high 14 points, while Chris Binggeli and Dylan Sieg tallied 11 apiece.

The Eagles host Malta Bend at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
