MSD boys drop home game to Prairie Home

The Eagles shot just 27 percent (10-of-37) as a team and committed 34 turnovers in Monday night's 55-22 home loss to the Panthers.

MSD (7-5) was only down 10-7 entering the second quarter, but was blanked by Prairie Home 14-0 as the Panthers took a 34-10 lead into halftime. Prairie Home then put the game out of reach by outscoring the Eagles 17-6 in the third quarter.

Senior forward Benson Goodwin led MSD with eight points and 10 rebounds. Senior guard Jeff Porter and junior guard Joseph Allen scored five points apiece.

Kody Simmons produced eight of his game-high 16 points in the second quarter to guide the Panthers. Sam Distler also registered 12 points.

The Eagles remained at home for a contest against Chamois on Tuesday night. Results were not available at press time.
