Lady Bulldogs pull away in second half, topple Jamestown

JAMESTOWN - The South Callaway Lady Bulldogs broke a 29-all tie at the break by outscoring the Jamestown Lady Eagles 42-29 in the second half of Tuesday night's 71-58 non-conference victory.

Junior center Konnor Arrowood connected for a game-high 20 points to direct four players in double figures for South Callaway (3-2), which took control by outscoring Jamestown 25-10 in the third quarter.

Sophomore forward Adrian Mann and junior forward Nicole Horstman supplied 17 points apiece for the Lady Bulldogs, while sophomore guard Kaci Jordan contributed 12.

"We came out really physical and jumped on them pretty quick," South Callaway head coach Darren Humphrey said.

Alli Muri answered with a team-high 19 points for Jamestown, which suffered its first loss of the season. Mackenzie Strother chipped in with 14 points.

The Lady Bulldogs travel to Eugene for a Show-Me Conference encounter at 6 tonight.
