Sears boosting Make-A-Wish

A local department store chain is trying to brighten the holidays for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The Fulton Sears Hometown Store, along with more than 1,200 Sears locations nationwide, is supporting children through Make-A-Wish. The Sears Season of Wishes holiday campaign is encouraging customers to donate $2, $5 or $10 at any Sears location. The Fulton store is offering an additional fundraising promotion. Customers who donate $5 to Make-A-Wish will receive a 10 percent off discount for items storewide. The promotion is valid at Sears Outlet Stores and Sears Hometown Stores from Dec. 17 - 24.

"We are always looking for ways to help improve the lives of others, and are excited to take part in this national holiday campaign that will help raise funds for children who are more than deserving," Fulton Sears Hometown Store owner Rick Shiverdecker said.
