I-70 accident ejects two from vehicle, injuries six total

A one-vehicle traffic accident on westbound I-70 today involved six people, two of which were ejected from their vehicles.

The accident took place when the vehicle, traveling in the left lane, drove off the roadway at the 155.8 mile marker in Callaway County around 12:30 p.m. It struck median cables and overturned multiple times, according to an online Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. The 2006 Ford E150 traveled back into the median and rested on median cables.

Travis K. Bacon, 23, of Columbia, and Robert D. McNeary, 26, of Kansas City, both suffered serious injuries. Both were not wearing seat belts. Jarvis M. Dancy, 23, of Ashland, was driving the car and had minor injuries. Lucas A. Cecil, 27, of Boonville; Shannon S. Custard, 24, of Jefferson City; and Joseph T. Neubauer, 22, of Hannibal sustained minor injuries as well. The vehicle was totaled.
